3rd Annual Vendor Fair and Educational Program Recap

Posted almost 3 years ago by Denise Thunberg

Ten Industry Vendors participated through booths and presentations during our speed round presentation. Professional networking offered shared thoughts, projects, initiatives and challenges within the infusion industry.

Three wonderful presentations were provided:

Cindy Winfrey, MSN, RN, CIC presented Championing Change – A Team STEPPS Approach.  This presentation offered a solid foundation on the AHRQ TeamSTEPPS Approach to process and quality improvement. Given the current healthcare environment, this knowledge opened up the possibilities of our individual professional contribution that we can provide towards improved patient outcomes in our practices.

Lecia Snell-Kinen, MSN, APRN-CNS, CCTN presented The Health Care Professional's Guide to Social Media. This thought provoking interactive presentation focused on the personal and professional boundaries that can be blurred by our electronic society. This important topic goes beyond HIPPA, encompassing professional integrity and liability.

Amy Rissler, RN, BSN, VA-BC presented Cancer and Thrombosis. The multiple complex factors that impact venous thrombosis formation was presented and discussed. This knowledge provides an enhanced understanding and improved critical thinking towards improving patient outcomes in this vulnerable population.

Thanks to all of the vendors and attendees for participating. Be sure to check out the photos in the photo gallery!

The presentations were very informative. The vendors were a decent representation and also shared a lot of great info on their products. Any idea when the slide decks of the presenters will be available? Would love to share some of the info with coworkers who couldn't attend.
